His name may not ring a bell at home but in far away Asia, Malaysia to be precise, a Nigerian music sensation known as Justin Kingland (JKL) is dominating the music charts.
JKL who has consistently topped the Orlando Florida charts for almost two years has moved the feat to ReverbNation World Reggae charts, Kuala Lumpur, where he’s currently ranked number two, in the whole of Malaysia.
The artiste with six nominations at the AEA Award Malaysia said he’s excited and honoured to be among Nigerian chart toppers in the Diaspora.
“When I came into this country in 2002, there was no single African doing music, it was not easy for me then when I first started. Sincerely, being the first official African to take music to the streets of Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, came with lots of challenges. My hard work eventually paid off in 2008, when 4th Quarter Entertainment Florida, USA invited me over and now we have more than 30 African artistes in Malaysia.”
With a new ultra-modern studio already set up in Kuala Lumpur, JKL, who had collaborated with several international acts, including Shaggy and Elephant Man, said the aim of 4Real Records/Entertainment, is to take over Asia, in the nearest future.
Currently recording with Sizla Kalonji in a new collabo, “Work Hard”, which he hinted would be ready within a short period, JKL would soon be in Jamaica with his whole crew to shoot some videos with Kalonji and Elephant Man.
“Meanwhile, the volume one of my Afro Asia international mega mix with over 32 acts is still ruling the Asian market mix-tapes and airwaves. We are warming up for the volume two”.

The emerging talent has also dropped his debut album Baraje.

The 16-tracke r with danceable tracks such as: Thank you Lord, Awesome God, Jawole, Unconditional LoveParo, and several others is currently making waves on air across the country.
He was inspired by artistes such as: Style Plus, Tuface Idibia, Timaya and a few others.
The Afro Hip-Hop apostle single-handedly wrote and produced the album in collaboration with his record label, 24:7 Entertainment.
